This sixth book in the Montana Rescue series is off-the-charts exhilarating! Wait for Me has it all: danger, rescues, survival, self-forgiveness, and enough romance and true love to fill a ravine in the Montana mountains.
The overall theme of this story is realizing that love is worth the risk and not letting that love slip through your fingers because of pride, misunderstandings, miscommunication, and misplaced loyalties. While the story is basically about Jess and Pete, another couple shares the spotlight: Ned and Shae. All are fighting their own demons, vulnerabilities, and pasts filled with wrong turns and feelings of low self-worth. I love all the characters, but I have to say that Felipe ended up being one of my favorites.
Watching these characters evolve and grow in their relationships is a delight all the way through. The author expertly captures those heart-pounding moments of peril, revenge, physical and emotional suffering, and daring heroism. This book is jam packed with frightening action but with enough romantic moments and reflection to slow it down and keep it from becoming too much. The pacing is spot on.
The author is also good at developing antagonists and antagonistic forces that make your heart race with fear and anticipation as Jess, Ned, Shae, and the others fight against injuries, bad weather, and treacherous terrain in their desperate attempt to survive and outwit the menacing bad guys.
Hang on to your seat because book six in this Montana Rescue Series is a non-stop ride full of adventure, camaraderie, and true love.
