Taylor Swift makes them. So does Lily, star of the new STEM book, SECRETS OF THE SNOW GLOBE. Now you can too! Here’s how to craft a homemade snow globe. (Adult supervision advised).
Gather the goods:
- Small, clean jar with tight lid
- Small waterproof figure
- Glue
- Water
- Glycerin
- Glitter
- Ribbon for bow (optional)
Get to work:
- Glue the figure onto the inside of the jar lid and let dry overnight.
- Fill jar with water and a squirt or two of glycerin (this will make the glitter fall slower).
- Add a generous pinch of glitter.
- Screw the lid tightly onto the jar.
- Tip, and watch the glitter fall!
- For a finishing touch – add a pretty bow to the bottom.
