Update: I’ve added a link to my Book Riot’ s Read Harder Challenge on the main menu. Check it out to view my progress.

In addition to the standard reading challenge on Goodreads (my goal this year is to read 75 books, of which I have read 45 ), I signed up for another reading challenge way back January. It’s called the Book Riot’s Read Harder Challenge. Thanks to Jennifer Brinkmeyer for bringing this particular reading gem to my attention late last year (check out her progress here).
I’m going to come right out and admit that I haven’t given this particular reading challenge much thought since January, and here it is coming on to September. I decided to take a look and assess the damage.
Check out the list below to see what books I have chosen to fulfill this challenging challenge. A list of 24 books shouldn’t be too daunting, except the list isn’t quite so random. There are rules involved. Always with the rules! You can pick any books you want as long as they fit neatly into the categories. The books in red are the ones I’ve read (how’s that for a bit of homonymic poetry).
As you can see, I have a bit of reading to do before the stroke of midnight on December 31. Fear not. I will succeed! The biggest challenge for me will be the audio book because I loathe audio books. I will rummage at the library and find something quick and painless *sigh*.
