I read books, plain and simple. I love discussing the books I read, and my Goodreads goal this year is to write an impression for every book I read.
What I won’t be doing is writing long-winded reviews or book summaries. My reviews are my impressions and thoughts: good, bad, or indifferent. I don’t follow a standard format, so don’t expect the traditional review. Sometimes I will critique and point out themes and other literary wonderfulness, but mostly I will give my initial thoughts and impressions on what makes a book stand out (for me, at least).
