Many writers go for the writing prompts to get the ball rolling, to offer up the challenge, and to prompt a story into existence. Writing prompts offer that spark.
I like to use pictures as writing prompts. A picture is already a visual story. Each writer will tease that story out and tell it like no one else. There’s no way of knowing which aspect of the picture will speak to the writer.
I will occasionally offer up a photo that I have taken and a story to go with it, based on what that photo is telling me at that given moment. Feel free to join in the fun, either with the given photo or one of your own.
