Back in the Saddle

Okay, I’m back. After Thanksgiving, I have been under the weather. I did finish NaNoWriMo this year (yay)! It was a wild and crazy ride, as usual. I had to get to the finish line before Thanksgiving week, which was a good thing for me! I wasn’t up for doing anything those last few days of November.

And now it’s time for Christmas!

While I want every year to be fantastic and full of fun surprises, I am going to make 2015 a bit more special. It’s a big year for me! There are a few things I need to, want to, and must do this coming year. I need all the encouragement and accountability I can get because I’m a master procrastinator. It’s what I do, but it’s not who I am. Does that make sense?

“My advice is, never do tomorrow what you can do today. Procrastination is the thief of time. Collar him!”― Charles Dickens, David Copperfield

A big focus for me in 2015 will be on my suspense novel. I’ve made good progress, but I’m setting a goal for April 1 to finish writing and maybe even finish the first round of editing. And that’s no joke! I WILL do it!

Who else is writing a novel? What stage are you in? Beginning, middle, end? It’s all good.

Let’s all focus on the writing in 2015!

  1. I finished the first draft of my first novel during NaNoWriMo this year, and I plan to begin revising it in January. My writing goals for 2015 include writing three more first drafts, one during each of the Camp NaNoWriMo sessions and one during NaNoWriMo 2015. Good luck with your own writing goals! You can do it!
